Tart has passed the $10,000 mark!
Can you join the 150 backers (so far) to push us closer to our $13,500 goal?
Tart Vol. 4 Perspective Shift is 75% of the way to our funding goal!
I want to continue to thank everyone who has backed and/or shared the campaign so far. We came into this campaign ready to weather any storm that might come our way, but because of our loyal and passionate backers we are well on our way to funding. And it’s been a pretty darn steady, honestly.
We are however right in the slowest portion of the campaign (the middle weeks are always the slowest), so finding new readers is difficult at the moment. If you have been planning to back, may I ask you to do it today?
Here’s a quick reminder of the type of art you will be bringing into the world if you do!
So I’m asking to lean on you as a returning supporter to back and/or share the campaign today.
If you do pledge today, feel free to use this link. You can back for any tier we have, but this link will allow you to see and back the secret Email Subscriber $120 Hardcover catch up tier (instead of the usual $140) as a gift to our returning readers, and email list subscribers.
But you do not have to back at a high dollar amount to propel us to success. We created the Tart Vol 4 Perspective Shift softcover for two reasons.
To have an easier entry to the material for new readers (or returning readers who want that for any personal reason).
Printing the softcovers at the same time we printed the hardcovers helped us keep the cost of the Vol. 4 hardcover consistent with Vol. 2 and 3 even though this book was printed in a much higher cost environment.
The softcover is $30 in comparison to $45 for the hardcover. The softcover is exactly the same interior pages. You would be giving up some luxury bells and whistles (that I personally adore) like the built in ribbon bookmark, and foil stamped covers inside the dustjacket, as well as the collectability factor of the hardcover. I’ll never reprint the hardcovers in this form (and truthfully have no plans or desire to reprint them in any hardcover form personally), but I can reprint the softcovers until I leave this mortal plane. And then Ludo can do so while he’s here too.
While it is true and accurate to say we fought to keep our costs down for our readers, we also know that some backers are content with the comics they already have. And we are happy about that.
A few of our backers have pledged for $5 to $25 in the “no reward” tier as GO GET ‘EM support; we welcome and appreciate anyone who chooses to do that (even a dollar pledge puts us closer to our backer and funding goals). But we don’t want to put pressure on anyone to do so as we don’t know anyone’s personal circumstance.
But I will ask everyone if it is in their comfort zone to share the campaign and tell someone why Tart is special to you.
The link to share outside of the email list is:
Now. Will I know if you slip your best friend the link above with the secret pricing? No. Will I check? No. Will I be mad at you? No. You will have gotten us a new reader and that is worth it to me to save them $5 a book. Just please don’t put it out generally.
Let’s hit that goal and start working on money to pay for art in the future!!!
